Shabbat Through The Senses is a community event for families with children ages 10 and under from all different backgrounds and traditions.
Come experience Shabbat activities that will stimulate your senses and curiosity while creating meaningful Shabbat items. Feel and shape the challah dough, See the colorful Shabbat candlesticks, Hear Shabbat songs and melodies, Taste different Shabbat flavors. You will also get to enjoy a Shabbat sing-a-along and other Shabbat entertainment.
Families will have the opportunity to fill up their own “Shabbat Box” with actual ritual items that can be used on Shabbat! Children will love getting messy stomping their own grapes and dyeing their own challah covers. Children will be proud of their full Shabbat Kit that will include grape juice, challah, a challah cover, candles, candlesticks, spices, a prayer books and more – all made by them!
Dinner will be available for purchase through the Me Latte Cafe.
