The Great Challah Bake of 2015

“Our table represented what I believe the Shabbos Project is all about.  When we began, we were a diverse group of strangers, but we were all there, enthusiastically baking challah together in preparation for Shabbos!  We were a group of people whose paths don’t often cross and we were together, unified for a single purpose.  It was truly uplifting!”

– Molly Horwitz

We are Partners with The International Shabbos Project

The Shabbos Project is a unique, international grassroots Jewish identity movement that unites all Jews to keep one Shabbat together. The idea originated from Rabbi Goldstein, three years ago in South Africa, where the majority of the country’s diverse Jewish community joined together to observe a single Shabbat, most for the first time in their lives. By experiencing the magic of Shabbat, we can rejuvenate family and community life, ignite Jewish pride and identity, and build Jewish unity across the world! For more information about the international Shabbos Project check out its website

To do or not to do? A lot happens between sunset on Friday and nightfall on Saturday. These helpful tools will make keeping Shabbat with the rest of world a lot easier.
